WCNT 2022 Is a Hybrid Event
The 53rd (2022) edition of West Coast Number Theory will be a hybrid event—with the first half primarily-virtual (Dec 15-17, 2022), and the second primarily-in-person (Dec 18-19, 2022).
- The virtual events will take place on zoom
- The in-person events will take place at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA.
Getting There
By Air: Monterey has an airport serviced by major airlines. Taxis, rental cars and public transportation are available from there to the Asilomar Conference Grounds. NOTE: The city bus does not run on Sunday.
By Car: Driving directions and maps are available on the Asilomar Web site: https://www.visitasilomar.com/discover/getting-here/.
By Bus: Those coming from San Francisco and San Jose airports can take the Monterey-Salinas Airbus to Monterey Transit Plaza (for the city bus) in downtown Monterey for $50 or $40, each way. There’s a discount for buying your ticket online. Reservations are recommended. Greyhound and Amtrak will also get you to the Monterey bus system.
Finding Accommodations
Unlike in the past, there is no room block for WCNT at Asilomar. In other words, no rooms are being held for the conference, and no meals will be provided. At this time of year, there is lots of availability in the area, so feel free to stay at the hotel of your choice, and enjoy the great food the area has to offer. (Heck, you could even stay at Asilomar!)
